Supporting Indigenous perspectives and scholarship in STEM graduate education
Our Mission
The Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership (SIGP) seeks to transform graduate STEM education in ways that support:
- the incorporation of Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, values and experiences in STEM research, teaching, and engagement
- the ability of graduate students to address issues relevant to Indigenous communities
- a sense of belonging for and contribution to a community of SIGP scholars
- the expansion and strengthening of pathways and programs that encourage Indigenous students to apply to STEM graduate programs at the University of Kansas
