SIGP offers a generous financial package to scholars, and provides a variety of services, resources, and programming opportunities.

Program Components

  • An Indigenous Peoples' Science course that incoming cohorts take together during the spring semester of their first year of graduate study, taught by Sloan faculty leadership
  • Workshops, trainings, and seminar programs that carry out the mission of SIGP
  • Social events for scholars to gather and be in community 
  • Opportunities to mentor undergraduate students participating in the Sloan Undergraduate Scholars Program

Financial Package

  • $20,000 total stipend for master's students, dispersed across two years or six semesters
  • $40,000 total stipend for doctoral students, dispersed across four years or ten semesters
  • Summer funding 
  • Full tuition waiver
  • Guaranteed graduate teaching assistantship or graduate research assistantship
  • Additional funding for conference travel and research materials
